The Speedmax is ideal for fast rotating applications requiring precise work and, at the same time, a damping action against shock or torsional vibrations. It combines a balanced damping action and torsional rigidity ratio and is designed for speeds up to 42,000 min-1, depending on the size.
The Speedmax functional component is the HNBR synthetic polymer, a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber. This encloses a “finger-like” hub structure made of aluminium, which protrudes from the outer hub in the functional area and is vulcanised into the HNBR.
The material of the functional component has a high mechanical rigidity and also shows very good resistance to a variety of fluids such as water, organic acids and alcohols.
The Speedmax enables not only a 1.5-degree angular displacement compensation, but can also compensate radial or axial displacements of up to 0.2 mm and 0.3 mm accordingly.
Non-positive clamping hubs ensure a backlash-free shaft connection. For radial mounting, it is also available with split clamping hubs.
