The vibration-damping element provides bending flexibility in any displacement direction to compensate angular errors of up to maximum 12° or parallel displacements of up to 3 mm depending on the coupling outer diameter. Shaft bearing loads are also minimised by the elastic properties of the compensation element. The set screw hubs are zinc-plated. In addition, the middle element provides good resistance to various media such as petrol, oil, benzene, glycols, solvents and several chemicals. The Purflex coupling operates in a temperature range from -30°C up to +80°C.
