CD coupling
Unique disc pack made of a high-performance fibre composite material
The backlash-free CD coupling has a disc pack made of high-performance fibre composite material featuring a unique design. This gives it a high torsional stiffness combined to high universal displacement capacity.
The CD coupling is available in a single and double cardan design. To ensure a backlash-free and force-fit shaft connection, the CD coupling is primarily equipped with clamping hubs - optionally in steel or lightweight aluminium.

Owing to the disc pack material, the CD coupling has electrically insulating properties, important for potential separation. The rated torque of the disc coupling portfolio covers a range from 20 Nm to 1,164 Nm and is available for speeds up to 17,000 per minute depending on the design. The couplings can compensate shaft displacements of up to 1.9 mm radially, 7.6 mm axially and 3° angularly.
