The Beamflex encoder and Beamflex servo are manufactured from one piece. Each of them gets its performance features from 2 sets of multiple spiral cuts. This design allows for high displacement capacity combined with high torsional stiffness. Depending on the width and length of the spiral produced, the type of transmission can be adapted to any range of requirements.
Beamflex Servo (F series) operates through two sets of triple overlapping cuts that, thanks to the short rotational length of the cuts, enables greater torsional stiffness. This way, Beamflex Servo is suitable for directly connecting servo motors in linear and positioning units.
Thanks to a two-fold increase of the length of the spiral, the Beamflex Encoder (P series) combines very low restoring forces for extremely low bearing loads with torsional stiffness values tailored to rotary encoder applications.
The clamping hub designs are also balanced for high speeds in both coupling series. In addition to high-strength aluminium versions, our portfolio includes couplings made of stainless steel in addition to vacuum and clean room applications.
